Back to Work

Once again, a week later, sitting in an airport waiting to depart for home. I don't know how the circuit travelers do this week in and week out. Nothing drains your soul more than airports/airplanes. Last week, I got absolutely nothing accomplished, because I was too busy recovering from Vegas.

Vegas was normal. I lost money at craps, betting the basically zero house edge, while all the idiots were crushing betting the inside where they lose like 10-15 cents of every dollar they put on the table. I hung out with one good friend from high school and eleven strangers from California that he had befriended at Berkeley. We went to two different clubs, XS and LAX. XS was amazing; believe all the hype. LAX was definitely above average I guess, but pales in comparison to XS.

I really shouldn't complain, because I suppose I should expect it, but I put the tab for one club on my card and obviously only got paid for like 20pct of what was owed to me. Everyone always says they have no problem paying until you actually ask them for it. The worst part about debt is that I feel guilty asking them for money, which is just so backwards. They should feel guilty for not paying me and just screwing me over, but I guess they just get away with it all their lives and keep following the pattern. I hope Karma kicks their ass.

All I did last week was build my "Cube" which is a collection of 360 different MTG cards. You use it to play this really fun version of the game. I flew to Houston Friday and played in a tournament there. After I busted out (lasted a lot longer than I do at poker, lol), I drafted the cube with people from all over the world. It's very amazing how the game can break language/culture barriers. I'm very happy that I'm getting back into the game and can actually afford to play it when and wherever I want.

Battery is dying...back to work all of April.
